BERKELEY TWP, NJ – Emergency vehicles lined Route 9 and drove through the parking lot of the Bayville Elks in a parade to honor 9-year-old Jaxon Fuge, who battles a rare form of cancer called Neurofibromatosis.
Jaxon, who collects police patches from departments around the world, hopes to become a police officer when he gets older. He also dresses up as a police officer every year for Halloween and even has a blue line supporting police on the wall in his bedroom.
After the parade finished, a birthday party and craft fair was held for Jaxon in the Bayville Elks Lodge, which included a food truck and petting zoo.
